Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. she is the current president and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and was raised as an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who went on to own the Lakers as well as other sports companies. Her feelings of abandonment were heightened when her parents separated in 1972. At the age 19 she was appointed the general manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades, a professional roller-hockey team. She first served as vice president of Lakers prior to taking over the role of President of Great Western Forum. Buss along with her five sisters took over the Lakers controlling ownership after the passing of Buss' father in 2013. Each of the sisters had the same voice. Buss assumed the role of the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
