Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest child of the singer Dionne Warswick as well as gospel music legend Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew as a child in a household of musicians. But it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her position as one of the world's most loved performers. While the movie itself and the performance of her on screen were not widely reviewed, the soundtrack album as well as her cover of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You was the top of the singles and albums charts for months and sold 44 million copies across the globe. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition artist and father of the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
