Whitney Elizabeth Houston is the youngest of four kids born in Newark, New Jersey on August 9 in 1963. Their parents include gospel singer Cissy Houston, aka Emily Lee Drinkard - and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick was also a singing sensation.
