Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder, was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father and mother also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder as well as her entire family moved to California's Mendocino County at the age of seven. Ryder was just seven. There was no electricity. Ryder was a prolific reader because of the lack of television. Ryder began taking acting lessons at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12 years old. Lucas was let go in 1986, and Ryder who was only 15, landed the role of a leading actor. Ryder faced bullying during her teenage years. She hoped acting might change the situation. Unfortunately, that did not happen. But she continued to chase her dreams. In 1988, the year that Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that she got her big break. Ryder continued to play successful roles in several movies. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated to win Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part In The Age of Innocence.

Her half-sisters are two brothers from both of her mothers' marriages. Alexander Martin (half-brother) from her first marriage with Dean Paul Martin. Maximillian Fuse (half-brother) from her second marriage with Akira Fuse. Anthony Eisley was her grandfather.
